After breakfast Mario took us across the river to hike in the rain forest. On one of the most solidly constructed bridges in Costa Rica .
We spent about 2.5 hours in a hot rain forest listening to the sound-scapes in relationship to noise. We saw a lot of wildlife and learned about rain forest ecology. The hike was only about 1.5 miles but we did go up the equivalent of 45 flights of stairs. The kids were hot and sticky by the end to say the least but they had a blast.
